# Copying an Existing D2L Course

**Note:** If you are NOT copying a D2L resource course but do want to use assignments from your previous Pearson course, please see [these directions](https://help.cccs.edu/space/KnowledgeBase/2318827524/Importing+your+Assignments+from+a+previous+MyLab+or+Mastering+course) instead for importing past Pearson assignments.

Follow the instructions below to navigate through the setup process for your MyLab or Mastering course via D2L/Brightspace.

Before you get started, be sure to have the following:

- Access to your new term D2L course shells
- Your Pearson portal instructor account credentials

**(If you don’t have a Pearson account, you can create one during set up)**

## **Set up Access Pearson in your course**

1. Go to **Content** in your D2L course shell and open the **Access Pearson** module from the list at the right.
2. On the module page, select** Access Pearson **to launch the tool.**Note**: The tool name may be called **Pearson Access Launch**.
