The instructions below are intended for instructors of Colorado Online Pooled courses but may reflect the process needed for home college sections. ## Barnes & Noble Bookstores   
(ACC, CNCC, FRCC, LCC, MCC, NJC, OC, PCC, PPSC, RRCC) 

Add Barnes & Noble Course Materials into a D2L course by following these steps:

1. Access the Content tool in the D2L course and open or create a module where you want the link for the e-text.
2. Click on “Existing Activities” and select “External Learning Tools”.
3. Select “Barnes & Noble Course Materials” link.

This will add a link in the course module that the students and the instructor can click on to access the course materials. If your course’s book is not available on the Barnes & Noble dashboard, please contact your bookstore.

After you have linked to the main bookshelf above, you can create links to specific areas of the etext using the link found in Existing Activities > Deep Linking - Barnes & Noble eTexts

Adding the Tool within a Course

1. Sign into Brightspace / D2L
2. Select your course from the drop-down menu in the top-level toolbar
3. Click Content in the course navigation bar
4. Create a new module in the Table of Contents or select the existing module where you want the eText to be linked
5. Click Existing Activities (gray button)
6. Select External Learning Tools
7. Find and select the Follett Digital Materials LTI Link

If the links shows “no materials available”, please contact your local bookstore to ensure that the correct title has been released to your course(s).

1. After using the Follett Digital Materials link, to toggle between "Adopt" and "Shelf" in the upper left corner of the screen. From there, select Kortext and no additional login is needed.

2. When students click the Follett Digital Materials link in D2L, they will see the Student Experience, which lists their courses taught through CCD. They will use a "Launch" button for materials that a part of the course fee program. No additional login is needed for students.

## VitalSource (CCA, and TSC via Textbook Brokers) > Macro (anchor)



Add eText materials into a D2L course by following these steps:

1. Access the Content tool in the D2L course and open or create a module where you want the link for the e-text.
2. Click on “Existing Activities” and select “External Learning Tools”.
3. Select “VitalSource Content Link”.

This will add a link in the course module that the students and the instructor can click on to access the course materials. If your course’s book is not available on the VitalSource dashboard, please contact your bookstore.
