- In your D2L course, utilizing the navigation bar, click on **Content**.

- Open the module which lists your eText. It will either be listed as a separate module or one of the course introduction modules.

- Once you are in the module, find the Cengage External Learning Tool. Click on the link.

- When accessing Cengage for the first time, a log in window will populate. You will need to choose Create Account.

- You will click yes when asked if you are a student.

- Make sure you use your school email account to create the account. You have to agree to the terms of use in order to proceed.
- Click NEXT

- An activation code will be sent to your school email. Access the activation code and enter here or use the activation link in the email.

- This will activate your Cengage account for your course. Should you have any problems, contact Support Services using the provided link.
