## How to Create a Video Using YuJa

1. Open your course homepage.
2. Click **YuJa Lumina **under the** More Tools **dropdown** **on the top navigation bar.
3. Click **Create Recording.**
4. Choose to record from your computer or from Browser Capture Studio.
5. In the pop-up window you will be asked to set up your camera, microphone, and screen (if you are sharing your screen). Click **Start **to begin recording your video.
6. To stop recording, click on the **red square button **located on the bottom right of your screen.
7. Click **Upload & Manage**.
8. Double-click on **Default Collection **to see if your video has been uploaded. NOTE: It should take about 5 minutes or less for your video to show.

## How to Upload Existing Videos Using YuJa

1. Open your course homepage.
2. Click **YuJa Lumina **under the** More Tools **dropdown** **on the top navigation bar.
3. Click **Upload**. Choose the video you wish to upload to YuJa.
4. Double-click on **Default Collection** to see if your video has been uploaded. NOTE: It should take about 5 minutes or less for your video to show.

## How to add a YuJa Lumina video to an Assignment or Discussion

1. Once your video is in YuJa, it is ready to be added anywhere in the course where you have an Insert Stuff link (like in an Assignment or Discussion).
2. For example, to insert your video into a Discussion, click on the **Discussions **tool in the top navigation bar.
3. Click **Start a New Thread** in your desired Discussion Topic.
4. Click the **Insert Stuff** icon (Note: in an Assignment, you would find this in the text box when you are about to submit).
5. Choose **Lumina Media Chooser.**
6. Scroll down and click on the video you wish to share.
7. Choose **YuJa Lumina Media Chooser**.
8. Click **Insert**.
9. Your YuJa video is now inserted, and you can then post your Discussion or submit your Assignment.

## How to Retrieve a Link for Your Video

1. While in YuJa, hover over your video and choose the **More... **option.
2. When the window pops up, scroll down and choose **Links **on the left side of the window.
3. Copy this link and paste this into your Word document, or any other area where you need to include a direct link to your YuJa video.

## Creating a Video in YuJa - Lowering Video Quality

If you find that your video is taking an extremely long time to upload to YuJa, you may need to alter some settings like lowering video resolution, frame rate, file size, and video quality. 

### Changing Video Resolution and Frame Rate

- With your YuJa Software Station open, click **Video **on the right-hand menu bar.
- Click **Advanced Settings**. From there a window will pop up, allowing you to lower your resolution or frame rate.

### Changing Screen Capture Settings

- With your YuJa Software Station open, click the **Settings **button on the top right corner of the window.
- Click **Screen Capture**. From there you will be able adjust and lower frame rate, resolution, file size, and video quality.
- Then click **Save**.

### Uploading Existing Videos to YuJa - Lowering Video Quality
