1. Instructors create a Zybooks account which will then be verified by Zybooks.

2. With their account, instructors review and customize a book, and then Adopt a book when they are ready. Steps and screenshots are in the [Zybooks documentation about Evaluating and Adopting a book.](https://support.zybooks.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007417253-Evaluating-and-adopting)

3. Filling out the adoption form starts access codes (access keys) process.

4. Zybooks uploads access keys to Vital Source (VS) Manage where bookstores can make them available to enrolled students. (Students do not receive access keys from zyBooks directly.)

5. Once keys are uploaded to VS Manage, the bookstore/school has them loaded into the Learning Management System (MyCourses/D2L).

6. The students gain access to the zyBook via a link in their LMS.

## **Access methods by bookstore/campus:**

- **Follett -** Community College of Denver.
  - This campus uses free to subscribe; no access keys are needed, and students do not encounter a paywall when signing up. Zybooks invoices the bookstore after semester is over.
- **BNC **- all CCCS campuses not otherwise listed.
  - Access key delivery through VitalSource.
- **eCampus **- Community College of Aurora.
  - Access key delivery through VitalSource.
- **TSC **- Trinidad State College.
  - Access key delivery through VitalSource.
