Use the following instructions to add your course textbook to your CengageBrain account. Then, access the Student companion site and download associated course files.

1. Log in to [CengageBrain](http://Cengagebrain.com) using your CengageBrain username and password. If you don’t have an account, click "Register" to create one.
2. After logging in to [CengageBrain](http://Cengagebrain.com), use the search box at the top of the window to find the textbook you're using in your course. To find the textbook title and/or ISBN, go to your D2L course, click "Content," select "Syllabus," and click the "Course Materials" link. Copy the textbook title from the Course Materials page in D2L by pressing CTRL + C. Then, return to the [CengageBrain](http://Cengagebrain.com) browser window, paste the textbook information into the search box by pressing CTRL + V, and either press Enter or click the magnifying glass next to the search bar.
3. Once the correct textbook title appears, verify the edition. Find the correct textbook edition in the search results and click on the textbook title link. [The image below is just an example of a textbook that can be selected in [CengageBrain](http://Cengagebrain.com); your textbook title will be different.]
4. Once the textbook selection window loads, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Free Materials" tab. Then, click the "Save to MyHome" button to add the content to your CengageBrain account bookshelf.
5. From the CengageBrain MyHome page, in the Free Resources area, click the "Open" button to access the student resources or file downloads needed for your course. The CengageBrain Book Companion site will open in a new window.
6. Use the left navigation menu to explore the resources available on the Student Book Companion site for your course textbook. To download the associated student files, click the "Student Data File" link located under the "Book Resources" category. [The image below is just an example of the resources that may be available; the actual resources will vary by textbook.]
