When setting up a proctored assessment with the Verity Desktop Lockdown App, you can add a list of allowed applications that will allow test takers to use the application during the proctored assessments. 

## Instructions

1. Go to the **Configuration** step in the **Setup Proctoring** window.
2. Select **Restrict Applications** from the left-hand side panel. Click the **Allow Specific Application **radio button. Select **View Apps**.
3. Select applications by clicking the** Plus (+)** icon to add to the allowed application list.
4. If the application is not listed by default, you will need to **manually add it** by providing the exact application name.
5. Add the Application Name e.g. ** Excel (or other applications)**, if adding manually.

**Note: **You will need to know the exact name of the application as it appears in the install directory. 

**For Windows devices:**

1. Search for "Excel" on your desktop's search bar.
2. Click "Open file location" from the application panel.
3. Right-click on the Excel name and select "Show more options" then "Open file location".
4. Copy the exact application name.
5. Paste the application name into the "Add Application" window within YuJa Verity and click "Add".

**For Mac devices:**

1. Click the Finder icon in your navbar.
2. Select the "Applications" folder.
3. Locate the Excel icon.
4. Right-click and choose "Get Info".
5. Copy the exact application name from the "Name & Extension" field.
6. Paste the name into the "Add Application" window within YuJa Verity and click "Add".
